๐ Overview
Photo & Video Cleaner ("the App") is designed to help you free up storage space by identifying duplicate, similar, blurry, and large media files on your device.
This policy explains what data is collected by the App and its third-party SDKs, why it is collected, and how it is used.
๐ธ Photo & Video Library Access
The App requests full access to your Photo Library to automatically scan all photos and videos for duplicates, similar shots, blurry images, screenshots, and large files. Full library access is required because the app must compare every item to find matches. Specifically, the App:
- Reads photo and video metadata (file size, resolution, creation date, duration)
- Generates perceptual hashes and quality scores entirely on-device to identify duplicates and similar content
- Uses Apple's Vision framework on-device to detect blur, faces, and classify screenshots
- Deletes only the files you explicitly select and confirm
๐ Data Collected & Purpose
The App itself collects no personal data. However, the third-party SDKs integrated in the App may collect the following categories of data:
| Data Category | Collected By | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers (IDFA / IDFV) | AppLovin | Serving personalized or contextual ads |
| IP address / approximate location | AppLovin, AppsFlyer | Region-appropriate ad delivery; fraud prevention |
| App install & open events | AppsFlyer | Measuring which ad campaigns drove installs |
| In-app events (feature usage) | AppsFlyer | Attribution and campaign optimization |
| Device model, OS version, language | AppLovin, AppsFlyer | Ad rendering compatibility; analytics |
| Crash reports & diagnostics | AppLovin | SDK stability and debugging |
๐ Third-Party SDKs
AppLovin (Advertising)
We use AppLovin MAX SDK to display ads within the App. You can review AppLovin's privacy practices at: applovin.com/privacy
AppsFlyer (Attribution & Analytics)
We use AppsFlyer to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and understand how users discover the App. AppsFlyer collects install and in-app event data tied to device identifiers. You can review AppsFlyer's privacy practices at: appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy
๐ฏ App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
Before AppLovin accesses your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for personalized advertising, the App will present Apple's standard ATT permission prompt. You are free to deny this request โ the App will continue to work fully, and you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity across other apps.
You can change your choice at any time via Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Tracking.
๐ Network Activity
The App itself does not make its own network requests for media data. The only App-level
network activity is iCloud photo downloads via Apple's PHImageManager,
governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
AppLovin and AppsFlyer SDKs communicate with their respective servers to serve ads, record attribution events, and report diagnostics.
๐ Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
